A number of services are available at the toll-free telephone number.  Live representatives can be reached between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Automated services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing can call the TTY number 1-800-325-0778.  For detailed information, visit the National 800 Number Telephone Services.  Calling the toll-free number is the most convenient way to schedule either an in-office or telephone appointment to file an application if you choose not to file online.

In Person At a Social Security Office

Although nearly all business can be conducted more conveniently online or by calling 1-800-772-1213,
staff in the local office is available between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays (except for Federal holidays).

Social Security Card/Number

Most people who visit the office do so to request a replacement Social Security number card.  This service can be provided either at the office or via the mail.
