Library Services
Ask a librarian, get a library, book a study room or meeting room, or learn about our Makerspaces! You can also find information about how to sign up for our newsletters, get booklist recommendations from SelectReads, or even find your Next Great Read with personalized recommendations by our staff. Services include: Ask a Librarian, Digital Microfilm Reader, Computers and Internet, Copy Machines, Exam Proctoring, Government Documents for Public Review, InterLibrary Loan, Lafayette Community M.I.Brary, Makerspaces and Tech Labs, Microfilm and Microfiche, Outreach Services, sign-ups for newsletters, Tax Assistance, and Your Next Great Read.

Media & Entertainment
Whether you’re looking for a book club, want to download an eBook, or are wondering about our digital magazines, we have something for you. Don’t forget about audiobooks — all of our reading challenges count audiobooks the same as reading a physical book.

Business & Careers
We have resources for job-seekers, businesses, and independent entrepreneurs. Find information on business licenses, touch up your resume and more with your library. Don’t forget: library study rooms make for a great shared workspace for your small business’ next team meeting if you don’t have a brick & mortar location. Services include Business Source Complete, Cypress Resume, Homework Louisiana, LearningExpress Library, Louisiana Jobs and Career Center, and Value Line.

Adult Learning
Genealogy resources, language learning, and skills development. Whether you’re a hobbyist or looking to expand your skillset while looking for work, we have the tool for you. Services include: Ancestry Library Edition, Britannica Digital Learning, HeritageQuest Online, LinkedIn Learning, Pronunciator, and Sanborn Maps.

References & Resources
Lafayette Public Library has access to multiple databases for your next research project. Stay current with the latest news with the New York Times, or search through news archives with Newsbank or US Newsstream. Services include: CINAHL, Consumer Health Complete, CREDO Reference, EBSCOhost, Exceptional Lives, Explora, GALE – Cenage Learning, Global Road Warrior, Newsbank, The New York Times digital access, State Library of Louisiana Historic Photo Collection, and US Newstream (Proquest), 

Student Learning
Lafayette Public Library has student-based learning resources for patrons of all ages, from K-12 all the way to college and beyond.
