Resources for Parents, Teachers, and Homeschooling
We have a collection of resources for Parents, Teachers, and Homeschooling available for all patrons. Contact the Children’s Department at 261-5779 for more information

TumbleBook Library
One of our most promoted resources, and for good reason! TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music, and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. This amazing database is intended for grades K—6, and includes books in English, French, and Spanish. The collection includes fiction and nonfiction titles, graphic novels, a small collection of National Geographic videos, and online puzzles and games. TumbleBook Library also includes Common Core information, Accelerated Reader information, and lesson plans for many of the books. Parents love the read-along feature which highlights the words as they are read! If you are looking for something a little more portable, you can also download the TumbleBook Library app on your smartphone or tablet.

TumbleBookCloud Junior
Provides over 600 titles and reading levels from grades 3-6 for adventurous young readers who wish to go beyond the picture book collection in TumbleBook Library! TumbleBookCloud Junior contains early reader chapter books, children’s classics, graphic novels, children’s audiobooks, and new National Geographic videos – many of which are paired with our e-books – a perfect complement to support Common Core Curriculum!
The layout of this program is very similar to that of its companion site, TumbleBook Library, and makes transition easier from one to the other.

Teen Book Cloud
Perfect for the teen or young adult literature lover who seems to read faster than the library can reshelve books! This middle school and high school collection contains over 600 titles including a vast array of teen novels, classics, poetry, short stories, teen audiobooks, our very popular graphic novels, world-class educational videos from National Geographic, and a section for AP English. The collection is available online around the clock. No downloads, no waiting! If you can access the internet, you can be reading, watching, or listening to fantastic content. The layout of this site falls in line with those of both TumbleBook Library and TumbleBookCloud Junior making for an easy transition.
