<p>When registering for a new account with Zinio, you&#8217;ll be required to create two accounts. The first account is a verification of your valid Lafayette Public Library account, and the second is a personal login with Zinio. To get started, click <a href="https://www.rbdigital.com/bayoulandla/zinio">here</a> and locate the &#8220;Create Account!&#8221; icon on the right side of the page. You will be asked for your LPL Library Card number. Enter the number and click &#8220;Validate.&#8221; You will then be asked to provide your email address and create a password to set up your account. You&#8217;ll receive an email verifying your registration. Once you log on, click on the magazine you want. You will be redirected to Zinio&#8217;s site, where you will be required to create a login with their site. Enter your name and email address and create a password, then click the red &#8220;Register&#8221; icon. You will then be able to read your magazine!</p>

<p>The elementary and middle school awards ceremony was held on <strong>Saturday, April 20<sup>th</sup> at 10:00 am</strong>.</p>
<p>The high school awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 30<sup>th</sup> at 6:30 pm with guest poet Kelly Clayton.</p>
<p>Louisiana Writes Writing Contest is accepting <a href="http://lafayettepubliclibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/2013LAwritesentryandflyer.pdf">entries</a> until May 15, 2013.</p>

<p>Internationally known for her spicy style, Johnette Downing’s movin’ and groovin’ musical performances will start the kickoff with her concert ”Reading Rocks.” There will also be crafts, a fun jump, “Zoo Zoom” petting zoo and more. The Northside High Drill SQUAD will also perform their “Stepping” percussive dance routines! For details, call 981-1028.</p>
