Fishing Poles Available at East Regional Library
Thanks to a partnership with the Louisiana Department’s Wildlife & Fisheries‘ Get Out & Fish program, you can check out a fishing pole from the East Regional Library!
All you need is a library card in good standing with the Lafayette Public Library. Fishing poles are checked out for three weeks, just like a book, and must be returned to East Regional Library. Inquire at the ERL circulation desk; holds may not be placed from library catalog.
Anyone age 16 or older will still need to have a basic Louisiana fishing license to fish. To learn more about obtaining a Louisiana fishing license, visit the LDWF website at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/recreational-fishing-licenses.
