Lafayette Public Library’s Main Branch Partners with Second Harvest Food Bank

Since Summer 2017, the Lafayette Public Library’s Main Branch has proudly partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide vital nutrition programs: the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) during the school year.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)

The SFSP ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals even when school is not in session. At approved SFSP sites, free meals meeting Federal nutrition guidelines are provided to all children in areas with high concentrations of low-income families.

  • Time: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This program aims to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults, promote good eating habits, and integrate nutritious food service with organized day care services.

  • Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Duration: September 2, 2025 - May 6, 2026
