Opened in April 2009, the South Regional Library features a drive-thru for pick-ups and returns. Drive-thru service begins 30 minutes before the library opens; the window closes 15 minutes before the library closes. A drive-thru book return is also available after hours.
Public printing and copying are available at this library for a small fee on a per-page basis.
Outgoing fax service is available to the public at this library.
The South Regional Library is undergoing a renovation project which includes architectural, mechanical, and electrical system replacements and upgrades.
Various phases of the project will interrupt services to different areas of the building at different times. The project is estimated to occur from November 2024 - early 2026.
The first phase of the project was the meeting room corridor. This phase was completed in early spring of 2025.
The Dedicated Outdoor Air System "DOAS" rooftop units were replaced in early spring 2025.
In March/April/May 2025 the HVAC equipment and carpet was replaced in the Children's and Teen area.
Later in 2025 the Non-Fiction area of the building will be affected with HVAC equipment upgrades.
All of the Study Rooms will be getting new carpet and wall finishes.
The South Regional Library will also undergo a roof replacement in late 2025.
South Regional Library book drop and drive-thru will be temporarily closed from December 1 - December 15 due to roofing construction. Materials can be returned inside or at any other Lafayette Public Library location. Thank you for your understanding.
