Adult Services
The Adult Services departments of the Lafayette Public Library System provide walk-in, telephone (337-261-5787 or 337-261-5788), e-mail (reference@lafayettepubliclibrary.org) and mail reference services, assistance in using the library, and programs of interest to adults in the community. The departments maintain a large collection of fiction and nonfiction books, magazines and newspapers, as well as a digital microfilm reader to help our patrons meet their information needs. We provide historical and genealogical materials in our special collections, and our interlibrary loan services allow patrons to borrow material from other libraries. Along with our collection of print reference sources, the Adult departments also provide access to several online databases. Public computers are available for word processing or Internet access. Computers may be reserved in advance or used on a first-come, first-served basis.
