Summer Reading Program

Build a Better World with us this summer at the Lafayette Public Library! Children up to 12 years old can join our Summer Reading Program beginning May 15 at any Lafayette Public Library location. They can participate in any of the multiple free programs like storytelling, shadow puppetry, crafts, drawing, plays, music, and more. There will be one level of prizes, based on the number of minutes the child has read. For full details of the program, click here. Pick up a reading log from the library or log online here. The top prize is a drawstring READ! backpack and a chance to win a grand prize bicycle!

The Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs also take place May 15 through July 31. Teens and adults who log their reading online will be able to receive a scratch-off ticket for each book read that will get them an immediate prize, such as bookmarks, buttons, coloring notepads, candy, and more! They will also be eligible to win weekly prizes. Teen programs will include anime programs, workshops, gaming and challenge programs, and crafts. Adult programs include gardening, crafts, coloring, escape rooms, and movies. For full details of the program, click here or call 981-1028 or 261-5787. Click here to log your reading online.
