Water Damaged Materials

Water/Flood Damaged Books

If you can return your water damaged items, do so in person. Do not put wet items in the book drop or items will damage other items. Place items in plastic and bring the item into the library when it is convenient to do so.

Please tell the library staff that your item(s)  was damaged in the flood. We will need your name, address and phone number. You will not be charged damages or late penalties for these items.

If you cannot return your items or no longer have the items, please contact the library when it is convenient to do so.  We will need your name, address, phone number and the type and number of items you are reporting as damaged. If you can take pictures of the items before discarding that will help. You will not be charged damages or late penalties for these items.

It is important that the library document our damaged material but we do not expect you to keep items that smell or start to mold. You cannot save wet paper.
