Did you know you can read eBooks and listen to audiobooks as part of our Summer Reading Programs? Our programs give you the chance to win prizes for any book you read, even if it’s in digital or audio format.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up today for one of our Summer Reading Programs (we have one for children, one for teens and one for adults) and you can win some fantastic prizes! Click here for more information about our Summer Reading Programs.

But wait, there’s more! Did you know you can read eBooks and audiobooks for free with your library card? The Lafayette Public Library offers several services that allow you to access eBooks and audiobooks directly from your own eReader, tablet, smart phone or computer:

  • Overdrive – Check out a wide range of eBooks and audiobooks directly on your device, without worrying about fines (items are returned automatically).
  • TumbleBookCloud – Looking specifically for YA/Teen books? This service offers hundreds of fiction and non-fiction eBooks and audiobooks.
  • TumbleBookCloud Junior – Loads of eBooks, audiobooks and graphic novels for tweens.
  • TumbleBook Library – Interactive story books that read aloud to your child from a laptop or tablet. Chapter books and games for young children are also available through this site.
  • TrueFlix – Tons of educational, non-fiction books and videos for children on a variety of topics, including history, science and geography.
  • Zinio – Download loads of popular newsstand magazines directly to your tablet. A great way to take your favorite magazines to the beach or pool this summer!
