Library Board Meetings 2014

Regular meetings of the Library Board of Control are generally held on the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:00 p.m. The meeting for January 2014 has been moved to the 2nd Monday of the month due to the Holiday schedule.

For 2014, meetings will be held at the Library Administrative Office Building, 604 S. Buchanan St., Lafayette, LA 70501 unless otherwise noted. This building is open to the public for Library Board meetings.

Parking is available in the Library’s rental lot on S. Buchanan (across from the back entrance of the Jefferson Street Branch Library). The administrative office building is adjacent to this parking lot.

If a location of a meeting is changed, the new location will be posted with the official notice posting and online.

Monday, January 13, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting

Monday, February 17, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting 

LOCATION CHANGE:  The meeting will be held at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center, Multipurpose Conference Room on the 1st Floor.  The Rosa Parks Transportation Center is located at 101 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA  70501.  The change of location is to accommodate the West Regional Library presentation and discussion on the agenda.

Monday, May 19, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting (budget meeting)

MEETING CANCELLED  Monday, June 16, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting (Optional).    Meeting was cancelled at the May 19, 2014 meeting.  A special meeting may be called if action or discussion on any item is needed prior to the scheduled August meeting. 

SPECIAL MEETING Monday, July 7, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Special Board Meeting

MEETING CANCELLED Monday, July 21, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting (Optional) Meeting was cancelled at the May 19, 2014 meeting.  A special meeting may be called if action or discussion on any item is needed prior to the scheduled August meeting.

Monday, August 18, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting. 

Monday, September 15, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting.

Monday, October 20, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting

Monday, November 17, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting.

MEETING CANCELLED Monday, December 15, 2014 – 5:00 p.m. – Regular Board Meeting.  (Optional)  Meeting cancellation notice posted December 5, 2014.
